More news from Marcom:

Compliance Magazine Award Winning Online Training

October 22nd, 2007 by admin

MARCOM has won the Workplace HR & Safety (formerly Compliance Magazine) 2007
“Commitment to Worker Safety” award and the “Excellence in Safety” award for our
“course-bundle” versions of our online safety courses. These “course-bundles” give users the
option of installing our online courses on their own internal system, so that they can use
their own learning management system (LMS) to deliver and administer the courses.

The Workplace HR & Safety 2007 “Commitment to Worker Safety” award recognizes
achievements in safety-related product development. The impartial industry experts who
acted as judges for this award evaluated each entry as to innovation, impact on worker
safety and ease of use. MARCOM will be accepting the “Commitment to Worker Safety”
award at the upcoming National Safety Congress in Chicago on October 15th, 2007.

The “Excellence in Safety Training” award recognizes achievements in safety training
product development and implementation. The judging panel for this award takes into
account factors such as the effective use of graphics and special effects and the
technology that is used in creating and delivering training products. Winners of this
award were announced in the September issue of Workplace HR and Safety magazine.

UPDATE: October Updates

October 22nd, 2007 by admin

Good News from Marcom:

“We are continuing to update our older programs to keep the look and feel of them fresh.
The updated “Safety Orientation” program has recently been released. And as we
announced in our last newsletter, we have also been working on our “ANSI MSDS”, “Eye
Safety” and “Industrial Ergonomics” programs. We expect the updated versions of these
programs to be released shortly.

Next we will be updating our “Lock-Out / Tag-Out” and “First Aid” programs. We have
had a number of people express interest in a program on first aid which includes
information on Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), so we are planning to
incorporate this information into our updated program.

Our Multimedia Product Development Group has been very busy over the past few
months translating programs into Spanish. Both versions of “Conflict Resolution” and
“Workplace Harassment” programs are available in Spanish now, as well as the updated
“Safety Orientation” and “Respiratory Protection 1910.134” programs. The Spanish version of our
“HAZWOPER Respiratory Protection” has also been released.

In addition, we are continuing to convert more CD-ROM courses into Spanish. For those
of you who are using Spanish language CD-ROM courses, you can now add “Dealing
with Hazardous Spills” and “Compressed Gas Cylinders” to your list of available titles.”
