Here is what the producers says about these products.
Providing employees with safety and regulatory compliance training is more
challenging than ever. Pulling groups of employees away from their jobs at
the same time can be difficult… many employees are “geographically dispersed” and
can’t easily get together for group training… and new employees are coming
through the door all the time. Additionally, with many regulatory agencies
wanting this training to be documented, the “training equation” has
gotten even more complex.
MARCOM’s Interactive CD-ROM Training Library can solve these problems. Employees
can receive training on demand… any time… and at their own pace. MARCOM’s
courses also increase information retention by directly involving employees
in the learning process. They can… “see”… “hear”…
and “touch”… their training material.
Based on MARCOM’s highly acclaimed video/DVD training programs, over 100 interactive
courses are now available in MARCOM’s interactive CD-ROM library, covering
four major product areas… general safety, regulatory compliance, laboratory
safety and OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation.
Each interactive course is about 30-45 minutes long depending on the topic.
Courses are divided into a number of logical sections, each with its own quiz,
so information is easily understood… and retained.
Also designed with training managers in mind, courses in the Interactive CD-ROM
Training Library include a learning management system (LMS) at no additional
cost. Using this system, trainers can define curricula… establish log-in
procedures… even set up “pre” and “post” tests. The system
also tracks employee activity through a powerful relational database, which
can generate a number of informative reports. A database import/export feature
also allows information to be transferred to and from databases in other software
packages, such as a company’s human resource system.
MARCOM’s interactive CD-ROM courses and learning management system can be
run on standalone computers as well as “hard-wired” local and wide
area networks (LANs and WANs).

Within the next few weeks we will release the updated ANSI MSDS safety program. Our First Aid program, which is being updated to include information on Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), is scheduled for release in February 2008.
As we announced in our previous post, we are also working on updating our Eye Safety and Industrial Ergonomics training courses. We expect these programs to be released in the Spring 2008
The release of an updated Lock-Out / Tag-Out program 1910.147 (which was announced in our last post as being one of the next programs to be released) has been moved to Summer 08.
Once these video/DVDs are updated, we will update the CD-ROM and online versions of these courses.

We are excited to announce that MARCOM is creating a library of construction safety videos and programs.
We anticipate having a 10 – 12 course library completed by mid-year, and will continue to add courses until the library reaches 20 – 25 topics. Over the years Marcom has periodically looked at whether they should produce a line of products specific for the construction industry and feel that the time is right to enter this market. They are still in the early stages of production for the first programs, and will be reporting the release of these products here.
