FSIS to host “how to” workshops for small, very small plants March 17, 2009
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is hosting a series of “how to” workshops for small and very small plants to provide practical compliance tools and methods.
The workshops will cover Specified Risk Materials (SRMs), developing controls for Salmonella and Campylobacter, establishing effective sanitation practices, developing food defense plans, ensuring humane handling of livestock, and conducting product recalls.
The workshops will be held as follows:
February 17 – Omaha, Nebraska (7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

February 18 – Jackson, Mississippi (7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
