New Lead Safety Program by Summit July 28, 2010

Workers that are exposed to lead in the workplace face many illnesses and health concerns, but these issues can be easily avoided. With the EPA now requiring all firms that come into contact with lead based paint to follow specific procedures, this video is perfect for employees that will be handling lead during renovation and repair projects done in buildings constructed before 1978.

Summit’s comprehensive training program teaches construction and renovation workers important safety precautions to take while working around lead hazards, such as the appropriate PPE to wear and how to zone off the work area to keep toxic dust to a minimum. By becoming more informed, employees will take pride in knowing how to maintain a safe work environment.
