Chemical Fume Hood Safety - In this safety program, we will cover the proper use of a Chemical Fume Hood and how it will help to keep you safe. Often the terms Fume Hood, Chemical Hood, and Chemical Fume Hood are used interchangeably. In this program we will refer to the chemical fume hood as a chemical hood. We will discuss using the hood safely, some limitations of chemical hoods, good laboratory practices applied to hood safety, and how to confirm that your hood is operating properly. Biological Safety or Radiation Safety will not be discussed in this program.
