Industrial Ergonomics Videos, DVDs, Posters, Booklets and more
Industrial ergonomics applies to all work environments, such as those found in manufacturing, engineering, and construction. Some tools often demands total body involvement to operate; not just fingers, arms, and hands. These operations may require standing or sitting in one position for extended periods of time, repetitious movements, or excessive force; this causes Static Posture. Stationary postures or excessive movement of any type can stress the spine and, depending on the actions needed to operate the tool, can cause neck and back problems. Static posture and stationary posture can both lead to Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) if left untreated. Our "Industrial Ergonomics" training programs cover recognizing ergonomic problems, potential adverse effects and pragmatic solutions employees can use to address to these problems. It focuses on potential ergonomic problems in manufacturing, assembly and warehouse situations. Topics covered in these products include: Physiology of the body, Parts of the body most affected, Eye strain, Pragmatic preventative measures, Correct use of office equipment, Exercises and stress release, and more.
