Materials Handling

Material Handling and safety is usually the last thing on people’s minds when they are working on a timetable, but the fact of the matter is, material handling harbors a tremendous amount of risk and safety measures need to be enforced. Facilities move materials every day from one location to another, using people, hand trucks or dollies, pallet jacks or forklifts, and truck or heavy machinery. Handling materials while using this equipment presents  ergonomic problems, broken bones, material falling, and hazards with forklifts or heavy machinery.
