Workplace Violence

Workplace Violence is a serious safety and health issue that every employee needs to be aware of. Workplace violence can range from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and homicide. Most workplace violence cases have occurred in the facility but there is a number of cases were the violence extended after hours and off the premises. According to the Labor Statistics, workplace violence is the fourth-leading cause of fatal occupational injuries, in the United States. Studies of the environmental conditions in the past workplace assaults have been identified and control strategies for number of work settings have been created to help minimize workplace violence. However, it manifests itself, workplace violence is a growing concern for employers and employees nationwide and no company is immune to it.
