Overview
You've already given your drivers an overview of CSA with the CSA : A Driver's Guide training program.
Now you can go beyond awareness and go in-depth with the new CSA: The 7 Basics.
This training program focuses on the heart of CSA - the seven Behavioral Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs).
CSA: The 7 BASICs clearly explains the BASICs, how violations are categorized, and how they impact drivers' scores... and yours. The program covers:
- How violations are tracked and measured to determine BASIC scores
- How violations and crashes are severity- and time-weighted
- Which high-severity violations affect BASIC scores the most
- What FMCSA interventions could result if a BASIC score is above the threshold
- What drivers can do to keep their score and their company's scores low
- Explains how severity weighting and time weighting impact carriers' and drivers' scores
- Bridges the gap between general CSA awareness and understanding the BASICs used to score drivers and carriers
- Details each of the seven BASICs: Unsafe Driving, Fatigued Driving (includes HOS), Driver Fitness, Controlled Substances and Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Cargo Related, Crash Indicator
- Covers how violations are tracked and measured to determine a BASIC Score, as well as how BASIC measures and scores are calculated
- Explores what drivers can do to keep their (and their carriers') BASIC Scores low and ensure CSA compliance
- Outlines what FMCSA interventions could result if a carrier has a BASIC Score above the threshold
- Ready-to-use training program includes several components
- Coming Soon - Available in Interactive Online/CD-ROM formats
- Closed-captioned for the hearing impaired
